The philosopher and the dog have been a pair since the dawn of time. From Greek Antiquity, there was a philosophical movement which took its name from the word “dog” (kuon): cynicism, of which the very free and scandalous Diogenes was the main spokesperson. For their part, comic book fans are undoubtedly thinking of the dog Kador, adopted by the Bidochon couple (Binet), who spend their time with their noses immersed in the works of Immanuel Kant. Having himself taught philosophy at the University of Geneva before becoming the deputy secretary general of the Department of Public Education (DIP), Nicolas Tavaglione takes his place in this long story with the book overflowing with affection which was written to him inspired by his four-legged friend: “Yourself like a dog”.
