The father was questioned and then released because the investigating judge considered that there was no serious indication of guilt against him.

A neighbor confirms that the family had never been talked about. “I just passed them when they were taking their dogs out. It was an uneventful family. I’m shocked. How can you attack a little four-year-old boy in this way,” he continues, sobbing in the voice.

“They live opposite the house,” says a neighbor. “We saw him being born. The horror.”

The mother should appear in front of the Liège council chamber during the week to see her arrest warrant confirmed or lifted.
