Still 47 days until Christmas. If the celebration is above all an opportunity to get together as a family, it also generates significant costs, between gifts and meals. The most modest households will receive the Christmas bonus as they do every year. This state aid will be paid to them by CAF, MSA and France Travail around December 15.
For whom?
Under certain conditions, it is automatically allocated to beneficiaries of active solidarity income (RSA), basic active solidarity income, the activity bonus, the specific solidarity allowance (ASS) and the retirement equivalent allowance. (AER). It is also possible to claim it if you receive the flat-rate bonus for resumption of activity, the remuneration of France Travail training (RFFT), the remuneration of vocational training trainees, the public internship remuneration. To obtain it, no application is required.
What amounts?
In mainland France and overseas (excluding Mayotte), a couple without children will receive 228.68 euros, with one child 274.41 euros, with two children 320.15 euros, with three children 381.13 euros, with four children 442 .11 euros. For each additional child, CAF will pay an additional 60.98 euros.
For single-parent families, it costs 150.45 euros for a single person without children, 308.72 euros for a single person with one child, 370.45 euros for a single person with two children, 452.78 euros for one person alone with three children and 535.10 euros for a single person with four children. 80.32 euros will be granted for each additional child. Note that the amounts are slightly lower for residents of Mayotte.
One bonus = one home
Furthermore, if you receive ASS or AER, the amount of the premium is fixed: 152.45 euros. It is increased on request from France Travail for single-parent families with one or more dependent children. Nearly 2.3 million households received the Christmas bonus in 2023. Only one is paid for each household and it is not taxable.
