“Here’s why I didn’t suspend the election campaign…”

According to the leader of Pastef, the members of his movement are fighting “with dedication and sincerity” for profound change, in the hope of leaving a better legacy for the future generation. He added that the deceased patriot, who would convince the Senegalese of the relevance of Pastef’s project, would have wanted the campaign to continue. “If this young patriot loses his life under these circumstances, his sacrifice must be honored by continuing our mission. It is for Senegal and for its victory,” Sonko said.

However, he clarified that the campaign would take place with great sobriety, in respect of mourning. He recalled that Matam has been one of the most mobilized regions until now, but on this day of mourning, following the loss of this patriot from Mbacké, “you did not see the usual atmosphere. »
