He also highlighted “unparalleled diplomatic and strategic inventiveness” which distinguishes Morocco, the latest illustration of which is the Atlantic Initiative proposed by HM King Mohammed VI “which is part of an approach to increased south-south cooperation between African countries bordering the Atlantic, but also aims to open up the countries of the Sahel by offering them a logistical corridor providing access to the sea.

Mr. Mignot des Campani noted in this context that the future Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline, which will serve 13 coastal countries, “can be considered as a first strategic realization of the Atlantic Initiative».
