Support for Windows 10 will end in 2025. But Microsoft plans to support this operating system for one more year for a fee.
Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 on October 24, 2025.
And this while the market share of this operating system is currently always important (61% according to StatCounter).
And the latest update to its most recent OS which holds 36% market share – Windows 11 24H2 – is regularly talked about for its bugs.
Consequently, the Redmond firm takes the side of extend support for Windows 10 after end of October 2025.
The program in question ESU – Extended Security Update – was already planned for professionals, businesses and various organizations.
Microsoft is also now planning a one-year extended support for Windows 10 for individuals.
But it has a cost: 30 dollars to benefit from security updates.
Enrolled computers will continue to receive critical and important security updates for Windows 10. However, new features, bug fixes, and technical support will no longer be available from Microsoft
