According to the newspaper which goes into details, “an Ivorian national who had a patient hospitalized and subsequently died attacked a doctor in the unit before destroying the equipment including the monitor which cost around 5 million CFA francs”.
Following this incident, added the same source, the general director of Fann hospital, responsible for the management of the high-level health establishment, did not file due to the promises made by [la famille de l’agresseur].
“An amicable arrangement was reached between the family of the attacker [dont son beau-père, D. Mounagal] and the general director of Fann hospital, in the presence of a notable person from the Ouakam community, but reimbursement was not made,” said Professor Seydi.
Following the non-compliance with the commitments made by the family of the accused, a complaint was filed by the hospital management “three months later” at the Point E police station.
For his part, the newspaper informs, Professor Seydi sent a letter to the Ministry of Health to “inform it of his complaint” and “request its intervention for a resolution of this matter”.
