A 32-year-old motorcyclist died Friday morning following an accident on the Pas-de-l’Echelle road, in Veyrier, according to the Geneva cantonal police. The accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. The victim died on the spot.

This accident caused significant traffic disruptions in both directions on Friday morning in the Sierne bridge region. This is the tenth death of the year on Geneva roads.

The black streak therefore continues in the canton. In the space of less than two weeks, three other men lost their lives while riding their two-wheelers.

On October 19, a 19 year old boy swerved and hit a car traveling in the opposite direction in Eaux-Vives, giving rise to a procession of bikers in his memory a week after the terrible accident.

Three days after Enzo’s death, a young person born in 2006 lost his life in Satigny following a collision with two vehicles. Thursday October 24, shortly before midnight, a thirty-year-old fell fatally on the road to Aire-la-Ville.
