And it was with this title of Early Evening that she got up from her seat at the Amphithéâtre 3000, in Lyon, to collect, while swaying, the 16th Lumière Prize which was awarded to her on Friday October 18 at the Lumière Festival. Shining brightly in a silver sequinned dress, she took the stage to collect the trophy which was presented to her by Alfonso Cuaron and Noémie Merlant. “What did I do to deserve all this?” I only made films! “, she said, as reported by the newspaper “La Croix”.

However, Isabelle Huppert did not shy away from her pleasure at being rewarded for her entire career. “Because it means: “Isabelle, you did a good job!” » And that’s the least we can say, in 50 years, she has played in more than a hundred films, with the greatest directors, from François Ozon – present at the Amphithéâtre 3000 – to Claire Denis , including Claude Sauté and Mia Hansen Love, and has already won two César Awards, two acting awards at Cannes, and even a Golden Globe. This Lumière Prize – which she is the fourth woman (only) to receive, after Catherine Deneuve (2016), Jane Fonda (2018) and Jane Campion (2021) – enriches her collection of trophies.
