A burglar with aplomb but not very careful. The Loire gendarmes arrested a man in his fifties who had gone to the pound to recover his vehicle that had been taken from the Andrézieux-Bouthéon area, in the suburbs of Saint-Étienne (Loire) on August 22. The latter was not in fact the owner of the utility vehicle, which had been reported stolen and used for several crimes, according to the Loire gendarmerie.
The great affair begins with a simple parking on the side of the road. A police patrol passes the vehicle, a Citroën Nemo, in its file and realizes that it has been stolen. It is then taken away, waiting to pick up the perpetrator, who will claim when he comes to have bought it.
Three rifles stolen
Military investigations also show that the utility vehicle was used to commit several burglaries. Five thefts in homes and businesses were thus solved by the police.
