Fatal brawl in Acton Vale: Two men charged two years later with manslaughter of 60-year-old

The case, however, dates back to two years ago, in Montérégie. On an evening in July 2022, Sûreté du Québec officers were called shortly before 11 p.m. to go to a home on Notre-Dame Street in Acton Vale.

The victim Jean-Marc Fournier had suffered serious injuries after a fight over a possible drug deal, according to our information. The 67-year-old man finally succumbed to his injuries the next day in hospital.

The link between the victim and the two suspects remains unknown.

Nixon pleaded guilty to the charge last year and was sentenced to 36 months in prison, the second time he had been behind bars for the same crime.
