The egalitarian myth is a barrier to professional adjustments that people affected by menopause symptoms could benefit from, believes Florence Chappert of the National Agency for the Improvement of Working Conditions.

Hot flashes, insomnia, mood disorders, musculoskeletal pain… The slew of symptoms linked to menopause can seriously affect the daily lives of some women, including their professional activity. But few dare to broach the subject with their line manager. Florence Chappert, head of the Equality mission at the National Agency for the Improvement of Working Conditions and pilot of the “women’s health” action of the fourth Health at Work plan, insists on the importance of adjusting the activity of the employees concerned.

How can work be adapted to take into account menopausal symptoms?
