Bruno Genesio’s choice may have come as a surprise. For the reception of PSG this Sunday at the end of the 3rd day of Ligue 1, the LOSC coach did not start Rémy Cabella, Jonathan David and Thomas Meunier. According to L’Equipe, this was a decision motivated by disciplinary reasons.
The three players reportedly did not attend the Dogues’ joint dinner, scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 p.m. after a chat. The Lille leaders reportedly did not appreciate it and had a discussion the next day with the main parties concerned. In a press conference, Bruno Genesio did not wish to comment on the subject.
LOSC rages against VAR
Thomas Meunier and Jonathan David came on in the 65th minute on Sunday evening. LOSC were then trailing 2-0 after a penalty converted by Vitinha (33rd) and a second goal scored by Ousmane Dembélé (36th). For his part, Rémy Cabella replaced Tiago Santos in the 85th and the score was 2-1) after Edon Zhegrova’s goal (78th).
