Paris-Beauvais airport, of which Egis has been a shareholder and operator since October 2024 via the Bellova group, has reached level 4 Transformation of the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA).
The airport obtained this certification in recognition of the long-standing commitments made by its teams to reduce its carbon emissions within its own scope and those of its third parties. The main actions implemented concern the electrification of all aircraft stopover stations and 30% of runway assistance vehicles. On the passenger side, 51% of them take a shuttle set up by the airport rather than their personal vehicle, making it possible to significantly reduce emissions linked to their pre-transportation. The platform’s approach is in line with the objectives defined by the Paris Agreement and based on the international carbon accounting protocol Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG).
Paris-Beauvais airport is one of some 15% of airports in France certified at level 4 or higher of the voluntary commitment program of the Airports Council International (ACI) to reduce environmental impact and CO2 emissions. . It is the 6th to reach this level, in the same rank as large-scale platforms such as Paris-Orly, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Marseille Provence.
Within Egis, more than two thirds of the airports in which the group is a shareholder and operator are ACA certified, at different degrees of maturity ranging from level 2 to level 4+, whether Antwerp, Ostend, Pau, Brest, Tahiti-Faa’a, Bergerac, Brazzaville, Beauvais, Larnaka, Paphos and Abidjan*. A commitment that goes beyond airport activities and also extends to the group’s other assets such as road infrastructure management.
