The Givaudan aromas and perfume giant recorded rising results during the year 2024. The board of directors will be able to propose to its shareholders a dividend of 70 francs against 68 francs a year earlier.

From January to December, Givaudan’s turnover increased 7.2% to 7.4 billion francs. Organic growth (corrected for acquisitions, transfers and exchange effects) was 12.3% against 4.1% a year earlier, said a statement published on Friday.

The aromas division increased by 4.1% to 3.75 billion and the perfume division from 10.5% to 3.66 billion. The group highlights strong sales growth by high volumes in all markets.

Regarding profitability, gross operational profit (EBITDA) is displayed at 1.7 billion francs, up 19.8%. The related margin reached 23.8% against 21.3% a year earlier. Thus the net profit reached 1.1 billion, or 22.1% more.

These results meet the expectations of the AWP consensus of which analysts were tabling on total revenue of 7.4 billion, organic growth of 12.1% and net profit of 1.11 billion.

Regarding the current exercise and its 2025 strategy, the management says “fully on the right track”.

Givaudan has also announced changes to its board of directors and the executive committee. Antoine Khalil will head the Aromas division on April 1, of which he is currently the sales manager. In the group for 21 years, he succeeds Mr. d’Amico who will retire after seven years in this position. The latter will remain available until September to “ensure a smooth transition,” reports a statement.

All members of the board of directors will be represented during the general meeting of March 20, with the exception of Olivier Filliol. Melanie Maas-Brunner and Louie d’Amico will be offered as new members.

The boss of Givaudan won 6.81 million francs in 2024

Gilles Andrier, managing director of the Verniolan Givaudan group, received 6.81 million francs in salary and bonus for the year 2024 against 5.95 million in the previous year.
The fixed salary of Mr. Andrier is posted up 4.1% over one year to 2.04 million, indicates the Givaudan annual report published on Friday. It is indicated by an increase due to higher bonuses. Variable remuneration is 4.76 million, or 19.3% more.
For management as a whole, overall remuneration reached 22.8 million after 19.61 million in 2023.
On the other hand, the board of directors posted a decline of 4.7% of remuneration at 2.84 million.
