Palestinian doctors have recovered the remains of 120 people from the rubble in Gaza, bringing the total death toll from Israel’s genocidal war to 47,283 since October 2023, the Health Ministry said Thursday.

A ministry statement added that 306 injured people were also transferred to hospitals in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of people injured in Israeli attacks to 111,472.

“Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads, rescuers having been unable to reach them,” the statement added.

A ceasefire agreement in Gaza took effect on January 19, suspending Israel’s genocidal war; a war that has killed nearly 47,200 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured more than 111,160 others since October 7, 2023.

The three-phase ceasefire agreement provides for an exchange of prisoners and the maintenance of calm, with a view to a permanent truce and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.
