The hackers had already attacked several Swiss websites on Tuesday. The pages of the cantonal banks of Vaud and Zurich were particularly affected.

This Wednesday, the portals of the cities of Geneva, Cologny and Sierre are affected. That of Vevey is also impacted.

Like the day before, this type of attack, called DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service), is a targeted cyberattack where a website, server or network is overloaded with massive requests, making portals inaccessible for regular users. During such an attack, there is no data leak.

Difficult at this stage to formally establish a link but the portal of the Confederation for the purchase of the electronic vignette is also inaccessible.
