During his last face-to-face with Zarco which he beat, Gris Bordeaux responded to his detractors. The Tiger of Fass, who rejects any idea of retirement, intends to learn the lessons of this new defeat to better bounce back.
Ten years without a victory, the 3rd Tiger of Fass was heavily criticized following its setback against Zarco on January 12. Gris Bordeaux broke the silence after the releases of his loved ones who spoke about his physical state during the fight.
According to him, this defeat is one of the most bitter of his career which he started 26 years ago today.
“It was painful for me and my supporters. Because when I lose, everyone recognizes that I made the necessary effort. But this time, none of that happened. I can’t explain everything, but these are lessons to be learned.”
-“I am a sportsman, I will respond in the arena…”
Questioned on the speculations concerning the Fass stable where observers note flaws in its management unlike the time of a certain Tapha Guèye, Gris Bordeaux retorts: “I came to Fass in 1997 after the Tyson-Moustapha Guèye fight”, underlines he said, specifying that he has “good experience in wrestling”.
Finally, regarding the annoying question, linked to his future in the arena, Gris persists and signs: “I am an athlete. I listen carefully to reactions, but I know how to discern constructive criticism or not. I have experience in wrestling and I know he goes with the debates. But I will respond in the arena,” he promised.
