January 19: The Requiem by Verdi at the Marseille Opera

Absolute masterpiece! THE Requiem by Verdi, halfway between opera and the sacred, is on display at the Marseille Opera this Sunday. It will be performed by soprano Angélique Boudeville, mezzo-soprano Anna Goryachova, tenor Ivan Ayon-Rivas and bass Simon Lim with the Marseille Opera Choir and the Marseille Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Michele Spotti. This concert will be broadcast on Radio Classique on Sunday February 9 at 8 p.m.

From January 24 to February 2: Orpheus in the Underworld at the Capitole de Toulouse

Good humor and beautiful singing guaranteed these coming days at the Capitole de Toulouse with Orpheus in the Underworld of Offenbach. We no longer present this opera buffa whose success has never waned since its creation more than a century and a half ago.

The cast is first rate, with Cyrille Dubois in the role of Orpheus, Marie Perbost in that of Eurydice and Mathias Vidal as Aristaeus. The Choir and Masters of the Opéra national du Capitole and the Orchester national du Capitole will be conducted by Chloé Dufresne in a production by Olivier Py.

January 25: The Clarinet concerto of Mozart with Pierre Génisson in Monaco under the direction of Ton Koopman

It is a work that we listen to with as much happiness and emotion as ever. THE Clarinet concerto by Mozart is on the program for the next concert of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra which will be conducted by Ton Koopman. It will be performed by one of today’s best clarinetists, Pierre Génisson.
