It’s been a long time since I had this much fun watching the Canadian play.

And I am convinced that I am not alone on my island!

After the last few more difficult years, it’s good to see the club win…

There is a real buzz in town right now since the Canadian is the team of the hour in the NHL.

The CH is one point behind the Bruins and a place in the playoffs… And it is also three small points behind the Lightning and third place in the Atlantic division.

The club is progressing, but to what extent?

I ask the question because this morning, Réjean Tremblay said in his column (Punching Grace) of the day that the progress in terms of points collected by the club “is completely minimal”.

And he’s right.

After 44 games last year, the Canadian had a record of 19 wins, 18 losses and seven losses in overtime.

The club collected 45 points in its first 44 games of the season, to put it another way. It was more stable, even if the club was less good.

What does this year look like?

CH has a record of 22 wins, 18 losses and four losses in overtime after playing its first 44 games of the season.

The difference in points is not huge, we agree.

But, it is in terms of ranking. After 44 games last season, CH was ranked 24th in the league standings.

He is in 18th place at the time of writing.

All in all, we see progress and that is what is important. The Canadian was able to recover after having had an atrocious start to the season and today he finds himself in an interesting position.

It fits with the objectives of the organization, moreover. The leaders talked about the mix before the season even started and they wanted the team to improve collectively.

This is what is happening right now.
