Donald Trump plans to make Jon Voight, Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone his “special ambassadors” in Hollywood.
The three actors supporting him for a long time, the president-elect asked them to contribute to the advent of a new “golden age” for the film industry and wants them to be his “eyes and ears” in order to advising him on how to encourage studios and creators to continue working in California.
He announced on Truth Social: “I am honored to announce that Jon Voight, Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone will be special ambassadors of a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California. They will serve as my envoys specials in an effort to make Hollywood, which has lost a lot of business over the past four years to foreign countries, BIGGER, BETTER AND STRONGER THAN EVER These three very talented people will be my eyes and ears, and! I will do as they suggest. It will be, like the United States of America itself, the golden age of Hollywood again!”
It’s unclear what specific activities the trio of actors would undertake, but Mel Gibson is up for the job — even if he had no idea until Trump’s public announcement.
-He said in a statement: “I received the tweet at the same time as all of you and was just as surprised. Nevertheless, I responded to the call. My duty as a citizen is to provide all ‘help what I can’.
