The Three Musketeers, Le Comte de Monte Cristo, The First Name… You rarely find such a prestigious CV in its category. Dimitri Rassam has dominated the French box office in recent years by producing back-to-back adaptations of two of Alexandre Dumas’ most famous novels.
He probably owes this unstoppable flair to his father, the late Jean-Pierre Rassamwho has accompanied such famous names as Jean Yanne, Maurice Pialat, Jean-Luc Godard and Barbet Schroeder throughout his prolific career. “Dimitri is a mix between Paul and Jean-Pierre Rassam. But he is not inhabited by any demon of destruction”recalls his childhood friend Guillaume Houzé to Paris Match.
