It’s hard not to savor the irony of this future neighborhood. Between the covered market, the slaughterhouse and Vivaco – a temple for lovers of local meat – Ciney will see its exceptional steaks and globalized Big Macs coexist. A funny situation for the defenders of the short circuit, but also a nod to this region where the love of meat is almost heritage. While some will point the finger at this “food import”, fast food lovers will applaud with both hands: no need to rush to Marche or Namur for a sudden craving for nuggets. After all, there is something for everyone. And the location, close to the Nationale 4, the Charlemagne and the Condrolys zoning, remains an undeniable asset. The project aims to attract both fast-food lovers and green mobility enthusiasts.
Express recharge: Belgian energy at the service of green mobility
Beyond fast food, the future complex will aim to become a benchmark in terms of electric charging. This will be where the first full-service station for electric vehicles in Wallonia will come to life. The result of a collaboration between Storm, an expert in renewable energies, and the giant Q8, this charging area will focus on efficiency and sustainability.
The terminals, with a capacity of up to 400 kW, will allow you to recharge to 80% in 15 to 20 minutes flat, perfect for swallowing a burger while your car swallows kilowatts. The infrastructures, designed by the Martens Van Caimere Architecten firm, will combine sustainable wood, green roofs and solar panels. And to top it all off, this energy will be 100% renewable and… Belgian. A good point for the environment and for the local image.
Warehouses for the self-employed
The project will not stop there: twelve storage spaces from 156 to 235 m² will also be offered for rental. Managed by Benjamin Filsfils and available for rental via B&C IMMO, these warehouses will target self-employed people looking for practical solutions. Between fast food, express charging and logistics, this multifunctional hub will aim to satisfy all appetites, whether professional, ecological or simply gourmet.
