A little sun and summer mood to start the year off right. On the occasion of wishes to the population, Saturday January 11, the City of Bourgoin-Jallieu (Isère) unveiled a parody of the IAM hit, “Je danse le Mia”.

The iconic song of the rap group is covered in local style and thus becomes: “Je danse le Dauphinois”. The clip was filmed during the 10th edition of the “Les Belles Journes” festival, on September 5 and 6, at the Parc des Lilattes in Bourgoin-Jallieu.

“It was a way of returning to this great festival which celebrated its 10th anniversary this summer. It was a particularly spectacular party with the presence of IAM and MC Solaar”remembers Mayor LR Vincent Chriqui.

In addition to the two rap groups, the event welcomed the artists Pomme, Jain, Clara Izé and MPL. Nearly 10,000 spectators attended these two days of festivity.

In this parody, the chorus and the verses are revisited to best fit the musical event in the Berjalian city: “I danced the Dauphinois until the evening wavered, the bar at the back and everyone scattered. People said that the wait was long, that it dragged on. The following year, we came back so much that ‘we were having a blast’we can then hear from the mouth of Dorian Maillet, deputy for associative life and youth.

“We are going through difficult times, so we said to ourselves that we wanted to make people smile during our usual greetings to the population. We thought, with our team, that it was nice to remember these festivities with a wink. musical eye”explains Vincent Chriqui.

Through this video, the mayor “hopes to highlight the territory, particularly active in creation and culture”. No one knows if the clip received a warm reception from the opposition. But according to the councilor, “everyone had a smile during the greetings”.
