Amazigh language: The government committed to its official implementation

During a ceremony in Agadir to celebrate the Amazigh New Year 2975, the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the official status of the Amazigh language. He highlighted initiatives aimed at integrating this language into administrations and education, and thanked King Mohammed VI for proclaiming January 14, the first day of the Amazigh year, as an official public holiday in Morocco.

The celebration highlights a cultural heritage common to all Moroccans. Artisanal exhibitions, tastings of Amazigh dishes and musical performances enliven the event, which continues until January 17 in various places in Agadir.
