The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued an orange level warning bulletin announcing a cold wave which will affect several provinces of the Kingdom between next Tuesday and Friday. Temperatures are expected to drop significantly, with lows reaching -8°C in some areas.
The provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Sefrou, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Khenifra, Al Haouz, Figuig, Chichaoua, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Midelt and Taroudant will be particularly affected. In these areas, the minimum temperatures will oscillate between -08 and -02°C, while the maximums will not exceed 06°C.
Other provinces, such as Jerada, Taourirt, as well as certain reliefs of Guercif, Taza, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Zagora, Errachidia, Tiznit and Tata, will record minimum temperatures ranging from -04 to 01 °C and maximums varying between 03 and 09°C.
Finally, the provinces of Oujda-Angad, Driouch, El Hajeb, Khemisset, Khouribga, Fquih Ben Salah, as well as those in the region of Casablanca-Settat and Marrakech-Safi will see minimum temperatures between -01 and 04°C .
