Fire in a bar in downtown Bastia

During the night of Saturday to Sunday January 12, the Café de la Paix, located in the city center of Bastia, was affected by a fire. According to the Haute-Corse fire and rescue service, the intervention took place around 5 a.m. The flames, which started from outside the establishment, destroyed the storefront and caused significant material damage inside the establishment. There were no injuries reported.

The police and the EDF and GDF services were also present on the scene.

The fire was brought under control around 5:30 a.m. For the moment, the origin of the disaster is unknown.
