AS FAR has won its ticket to the quarter-finals of the Champions League of the Confederation of African (LDC CAF). The soldiers forced Raja Casablanca to share the points (1-1), Saturday evening at the Stade d’Honneur in Meknes, which allows them to punch their ticket for the rest of the competition.

A well-wound corner from Zouhzouh was poorly negotiated by Youssef Belammari forcing Zniti to score a goal against without their own side. In the second half, Raja tried to come back to the score against a well-established FAR team. But by defending, AS FAR finally gave in 15 minutes from the end of regulation time, conceding a goal from a penalty brilliantly converted by Nawfal Zarhouni.

Raja, not yet eliminated, will have to beat Maniema Union of the DRC in the next match, and count on a victory for AS FAR in South Africa, against Mamelodi Sundowns.
