Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan assures that with the strategy of eliminating terrorism at the source, the terrorist organization (PKK) has suffered serious losses.
Erdogan held two meetings of his party, the AK Party, on Saturday in Diyarbakir and Sanliurfa, two provinces located in the southeast of Turkiye.
He insisted on the government’s determination to put an end to the separatist terrorist organization PKK in Türkiye and its ramifications, notably the YPG in Syria.
“With the strategy of eliminating terrorism at the source, the terrorist organization (PKK) has suffered serious losses,” Erdogan underlined, recalling the operations carried out by his army in northern Iraq and Syria .
The Turkish head of state underlined the fact that the fall of the al-Assad regime offered a glimpse of a better future for millions of Syrians, and welcomed this progress.
“Even if those who do not rejoice at the end of Baathist atrocities do not accept it, the victory of our Syrian neighbors is also our victory,” he insisted.
For Erdogan, the current situation is conducive to resolving the conflict with the PKK terrorist organization.
“Those who introduce discrimination between Kurds and Turks are the enemies of the Kurds, the enemies of the Turks and above all the enemies of the Muslims,” he said before insisting on unity in his country.
“Turks, Arabs, Kurds, Turkmens, we are one, we are united. We are children of the same land, the same history and the same future.”
Erdogan also assured that the separatist organization (PKK) has no choice but to lay down its arms. “Terrorism and democracy cannot go hand in hand,” he said.
Erdogan insisted that it is either the weapons that target his country that will be buried, or those who carry them. “There is no third way, no alternative,” he insisted.
The Turkish leader also warned “those who exploited our region through terrorist organizations”
“The era of those who exploited our region through terrorist organizations is over, the era of using terrorism as a weapon is over,” he concluded.
