It was an area of freshly turned over earth that caught the police. This Tuesday, January 7, around 4 p.m., the body of a 47-year-old man was discovered buried in the garden of a house, located north of the town of Coutras, in Gironde. According to the first elements of the investigation communicated by the Libourne public prosecutor's office, the deceased had disappeared for several days.
The information was revealed yesterday by Actu.fr. According to the newspaper, the body was, at the time of its discovery, covered with a bloody blanket. The police were alerted by a person who presented himself as the nephew of the deceased. The latter was then worried about the disappearance of his uncle.
Voluntary homicide, settling of scores that may have gone wrong, accident: for the moment, no information on the circumstances of this man's death has been communicated.
A murder investigation was entrusted to the Libourne research brigade as well as the Bordeaux research section, located in Bouliac. Initially entrusted to the Libourne public prosecutor's office, the prosecutor indicated that he had relinquished the case in favor of the criminal department of the Bordeaux public prosecutor's office.
