SNCF TGV Inoui and Ouigo prices will change from January 8. Ticket prices will increase by 1.5% on average for these high-speed, long-distance lines, which corresponds to an increase of less than one euro, around 70 cents per ticket. An increase “limited to inflation in 2025”in order to “protect the purchasing power of customers and ensure an offer accessible to as many people as possible”explains SNCF Voyageurs in a press release.
The increase will mainly concern the most expensive tickets and the most popular tickets, for travelers without a subscription, since the SNCF practices dynamic pricing, with prices which vary according to demand. For these tickets at the highest prices, the increase will vary from 1 to 7 euros per journey, up to 7 euros for the longest distances such as Paris-Nice.
Overall, in 2025, one in two leisure tickets (TGV Inoui and Ouigo) should be purchased for less than 47 euros, all classes and fares combined. Three out of four customers using these lines will continue to benefit from a reduced price (Ouigo, Avantage card, promotional offers).
This change does not concern the first TGV Inoui and Ouigo prices, nor the price of leisure subscriptions, nor the conditions of Avantage cards, which remain unchanged, “in order to largely limit the impact on the most price-sensitive customers”specifies the SNCF.
It promises to continue to offer a significant number of tickets at minimum prices, with more than half of Ouigo tickets sold for less than 30 euros. The prices of the Avantage cards, sold at 49 euros, do not change, just like that of the Liberté card, identical to the 2024 price, i.e. 349 euros, with the same reduction rules, and the possibility now of exchanging at the last minute on Ouigo. Likewise, the prices of Max Jeune and Senior subscriptions are maintained at 79 euros per month.
Furthermore, the price of Intercités tickets will increase, on average, by 1.9%, by decision of the State, the organizing authority for the territory's balance trains.
