had « raison » to intervene militarily in Africa “against terrorism since 2013”but African leaders have “forgot to say thank you”declared, Monday January 6, Emmanuel Macron, believing that“none of them” would not manage a sovereign country without this intervention.

“It doesn’t matter, it will come with time”quipped the French president during the annual Conference of Ambassadors. “No, France is not in decline in Africa, it is simply lucid, it is reorganizing itself”he pleaded.

Algeria “disgraces” itself

Emmanuel Macron also estimated that Algeria is “dishonors” by not releasing the Franco-Algerian writer Boualem Sansal, arrested in mid-November in Algiers.

“The Algeria that we love so much and with which we share so many children and so many stories is entering into a story that dishonors it, preventing a seriously ill man from getting treatment. It’s not up to what it is.”he said in front of the French ambassadors gathered at the Elysée. “And we who love the Algerian people and their history, I urge their government to release Boualem Sansal”he added.
