The 12e edition of the race against cancer, organized by the Cheer Up association of EM Lyon students, will be held on Sunday, September 29, with the aim of bringing together as many participants as possible to increase donations from patrons. Even non-athletes are welcome, as the course can be completed on foot.

Young people aged 12 to 25 hospitalized at the Léon-Bérard oncology center in Lyon, with whom the 35 members of Cheer Up organize friendly moments.

In addition to the weekly outings – when the health of the patients allows it – there are annual projects. “We went to Disneyland in December, to Annecy in the spring and at the end of the summer we took a boat to see whales in the Mediterranean”continues Laurène Guian.

Complete as many laps as possible

To boost the annual prize pool, she has a secret weapon up her sleeve. Former “Koh-Lanta” candidate Alban, from Lyon and known for his athletic performances, will take part in the race. This running enthusiast should complete a nice bunch of laps of the Gerland park, where the event will be held.
