Study participants completed questionnaires about their past consumption of caffeinated coffee, decaffeinated coffee, and cup tea per day/week/month/year. In a new analysis of data from more than a dozen studies, drinking coffee and tea was associated with a lower risk of developing head and neck cancers, including mouth and neck cancers. throat.

Decaffeinated coffee consumption was associated with a 25% lower risk of oral cancer. Drinking tea was associated with a 29% lower risk of hypopharyngeal cancer.
