Since Sunday December 29, 2024, Jean-Marie Boursier, 71 years oldhad mysteriously disappeared in Indre. That day, the septuagenarian, living in Issoudun, had left his home at the end of the morning and was broke down in car. Immobilized in his vehicle, he called his assistance around 2 p.m. to come and help him.

The gendarmerie therefore decided to launch at the beginning of the week, after fruitless searches, a call for witnesses to try to find this man who was traveling at the time of his disappearance in a gray Peugeot 208.

Wednesday evening, the gendarmes finally announced good news on Facebook: Jean-Marie Boursier was arrested.found “vivant a few hours earlier. He was found on January 1, 2025, around 3:25 p.m., by three Belgian walkers who were traveling by bike in an area that is very difficult to access, specify the military.

“The battery on his phone was dead, he couldn’t contact the emergency services”

The septuagenarian's vehicle had stuck in a forest path away from busy roads. “The battery of his mobile phone was dead, Mr. Boursier could not contact the emergency services and remained forced to wait in his car, having difficulty moving while walking,” detail the gendarmes.

“After three days spent in his vehicle, Mr. Boursier is certainly exhausted but his state of health does not cause major concern”, they add. He was evacuated by the Indre Departmental Fire and Rescue Service to Châteauroux hospital for check-ups and has just been reunited with his family.
