Ilyas Zeytulaev spoke about coach Gian Piero Gasperini: his former player would positively predict his arrival at Juve
Interviewed for TJ, Ilyas Zeytulaev spoke about coach Gian Piero Gasperinicoach ofAtalantaand his coach during his playing career. On a hypothetical future eventuality of the coach of the Bergamo team at JuventusZeytulaev responded: “I would be curious to see him today in a great team like Juve. Gasperini is a teacher and a point of reference for me. However, he is a coach who needs great trust. Today he is proving to be a top player at Atalanta. If I were a Juventus manager I would call him immediately. I'm sure he would do great at Juventus, I hope he can return there one day. After the Europa League victory I spoke to Luca Tricks (historical collaborator of Gasperini, ed.) and I complimented him on the work done.”
Zeytulaev: “Sarri chose a compromise at Juventus to win”
Beyond Gasperini, Zeytulaev he also spoke about Maurizio Sarrianother coach with whom he worked during his time as a footballer. Here are his words: “I would define Sarri's football, in a certain sense, as more Catalan football. With him I was a high winger in Verona, we played with one or two touches of the ball on the ground, in a very rigid, schematic and orderly manner. It was he himself who defined that team as uncoachable. Sarri to Juventus he immediately chose a compromise with the locker room to win. And he gave up some elements of his football philosophy by giving more freedom to some players, CR7 in firsts. It Napoli the coach instead managed to express himself with his beliefs. In working with the great champions in Turin, Sarri probably also paid for the fact that he did not have a great past as a footballer. However, I believe he remains an excellent coach, one of the best prepared ever from a tactical point of view.”
