New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider suffered the ax ahead of Monday afternoon's game against the New Jersey Devils.

Involved in several transaction rumors in recent weeks, the 33-year-old veteran is left out for the duel between his team and the New Jersey Devils on Monday afternoon, according to several sources.

Obviously, head coach Peter Laviolette is looking for solutions to revive his players, who have lost seven times in their last 10 games.

Kreider, for his part, is having a season well below his usual standards, having amassed only 11 goals and one assist for 12 points in 30 games. He also only has one point in his last eight outings.
