Vandeputte has 60 points, one more than Van der Haar (59 points). Vanthourenhout is 3rd (57 points), ahead of Wyseure (47 points) and Sweeck (45 points).

Van der Poel, undisputed leader of the discipline

Just 24 hours after its triumphant return to Zonhoven, Alpecin Deceuninck's machine continued its momentum in this fifth round of the Superprestige.

After imposing unchallenged domination for his return, Van der Poel showed a little more patience in Mol. While he had taken the lead in the first round the day before, the Dutchman waited until the fourth round to launch his first attack on Monday.

Only Laurens Sweeck slipped into his wheel on the sand, but a new banderilla from the favorite in the fifth round got the better of his last opponent. Mathieu van der Poel took off while Sweeck maintained a fast pace to take 2nd place after ten laps.

Unfortunately, Wout van Aert was absent. The Belgian was initially due to return this Monday but had to withdraw due to illness.

In cyclo-cross, nine other races are on the program for Van der Poel, who will aim for a seventh world title in Liévin on February 2 to equal Erik De Vlaeminck's record.

The season will be in full swing during the holidays, with the World Cup in Gavere on Thursday as the next meeting. Van der Poel will be present there, just as he will be the next day in Loenhout, where Wout van Aert should be waiting for him.
