“Saudi military opposition. Germany pursues Saudi asylum seekers, in and out of Germany, to destroy their lives. Germany wants to Islamize Europe.”
That's what you read on the X profile (complete with a verified blue tick) of “Dr” Taleb Al Abdulmohsenthe 50-year-old Saudi alleged perpetrator of the attack on a crowd at the Christmas markets in Magdeburg, Germany, yesterday evening.
The man was driving a black BMW SUV, under the influence of drugs, he traveled 400 meters mowing down anyone who came in front of him. The death toll is currently 5 dead and 41 seriously injured. Another 86 people are hospitalized in area hospitals and 78 slightly injured people received treatment in tents on the street immediately after the attack. Among the dead was also a small child. “Reports from Magdeburg raise the worst fears“, wrote German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on X who is about to arrive in the city which is located 130 kilometers from Berlin.
A lone wolf, a sleeper cell: this is how Taleb was defined, arrested and now in custody of the German authorities. No terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the attack, which instead happened in December 2016, when ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack carried out by a Tunisian, later killed in a firefight with the police, who driving a truck killed 13 people at a Christmas market in Berlin.
50 year old psychiatrist, in Germany since 2006, ex-Muslim
An unusual attacker, the Saudi. A 50-year-old psychiatrist, in Germany since 2006, a former Muslim, now an atheist, on his profile he harshly criticized his country of origin, Saudi Arabia, the German government as an accomplice of Riyadh, and the Islamic world in general. Through social media he criticized the way Berlin treated Saudi refugees and asylum seekers. The photo of an American rifle is clearly visible in the cover image. Abdulmohsen grew up in Saudi Arabia's eastern al-Ahsa province, where the majority of the Shiite minority lives.
“Damascus is the only city that overthrew its president and then cursed him with songs and celebrations. If you understand history, you understand the present. If you understand the present, you understand history”, he wrote on December 13 regarding the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria at the hands of rebel forces. On a blog forum we read instead: “My advice: don't ask for asylum in Germany”. According to some unconfirmed rumours, Taleb Al Abdulmohsen was wanted in his country for terrorism and human trafficking.
Riyadh said it had warned the German authorities about the danger of the perpetrator of the attack on the Christmas market in Magdeburg and had requested his extradition. Last August 13th he wrote: “I will now publish the evidence that German authorities committed a series of crimes deliberated against Saudi refugees”. In the post a series of photos, videos and complaints. He himself had filed a series of complaints with the police denouncing the illicit activities of a refugee organisation. “Germany's objective is clear: – he wrote – spread Islam in Europe. They attack political movements critical of Islam by inserting corrupt people into them”.
A few minutes before launching himself into the crowd, the last post with which he defended Elon Musk from those who wanted to censor him. He was also a follower of conspiracy theorists such as the American Alex Jones and the British right-wing activist Tommy Robinson. “If you listen to someone like Tommy Robinson or even Elon Musk you think: those two are conspiracy theorists. But I can say from experience that what Robinson, Musk, Alex Jones, or anyone portrayed by the mainstream media as a right-wing radical or extremist says, is telling the truth.”.
The alleged perpetrator of the attack: “I helped 1000 Saudi women”
In October 2017, Taleb Al Abdulmohsen gave an interview to The New Arab portal. The article is titled “A Saudi activist helps women escape the oppressive reign of fear”. According to himself, he began reporting on human rights violations under a pseudonym in 2012.”Any criticism of the government or even talking about your Islamic sect could lead to you being imprisoned and tortured. – he explained – I think this situation has planted the seed of a silent revolution in the heart of every Saudi“.
And again: “I was surprised by the large number of Saudis who wanted to apply for asylum and they asked me about the procedureso I've dedicated most of my activism to that. I have helped over 1,000 Saudi women directly and many more indirectly. Most of these oppressed Saudi women call the country a grave”.
