Cheikh Yérim Seck, a recognized journalist in Senegal, is the subject of a new controversy. In December 2024, he separated from his fourth wife, singer Ngo La Diva. The latter announced their divorce on TikTok in a striking statement: “I am now free as air. »
The situation took an unexpected turn when a popular and controversial influencer known as Adamo live-streamed a phone call. The person on the other end of the line, identified by the influencer as journalist Cheikh Yérim Seck, thought they were having a private conversation with the influencer. During this exchange, the journalist discussed his recent divorce and shared personal details, including comments on sensitive subjects that we choose not to report.
During this call, the caller, named Father (Yerim Seck), by the influencer asked Adamo to intervene to calm his ex-wife, saying: “I’ll let you calm her down. » In response to Adamo’s remark about Ngo La Diva’s public criticism, he reportedly added: “Everything she says is a lie. If you decide to speak out, she will definitely let me go and stop tarnishing my image. » He also clarified that he was in Benin when the controversy broke out, but that he is now in Paris.
Before hanging up, the person identified by the influencer as Cheikh Yérim Seck expressly asked his interlocutor not to publicly reveal their comments. He was quoted as saying: “I don’t want the public to think I’m willing to respond to women publicly.” » This request, made just before hanging up, aroused the astonishment of Adamo, who wondered about the paradox of the call. Indeed, the influencer seemed surprised that he took the initiative to contact him directly while demanding that the content of their exchange remain confidential.
This affair comes after another high-profile divorce. In September 2024, Cheikh Yérim Seck formalized his separation from Astou Dione, journalist at 2stv. He then stressed that their breakup had taken place in “very good conditions”, showing great esteem for his ex-wife.
