VermilionOf Maura Delpero is there and continues its run towards the 2025 Academy Awards! The shortlist of 15 films aiming for the Oscar for best international film has just been revealed and Italy is still in the running. Moments of great joy for the director from Bolzano: just a few days ago Vermilion was nominated for the 2025 Golden Globe for best foreign film, proudly entering the top five.
Oscar 2025, what are the rivals of Vermilion
Vermiliona mountain tale about an Italy that no longer exists, at the end of the Second World War, will have to contend above all against Emilia Perezthe master’s French film Jacques Audiard which won a lot of nominations at the 2025 Golden Globes. When will the 2025 Oscar nominations be announced
49 years old and on her second film, Maura Delpero with Vermilion it has already enchanted the last Venice Film Festival, where it won the Silver Lion – Grand Jury Prize.
