Under the aegis of its President Othman Benjelloun, Bank of Africa has established itself for almost two decades as a key player in financing and impact initiatives.
In 2000, the Group became the first African signatory of the Financial Initiative of the Program of United Nations for the Environment (UNEP FI), marking a key milestone in its commitment to Finance Durable.
Since 2015, Bank of Africa has developed an innovative range of financial products to support its clients in key areas such as energy efficiency, energy management, water resources and thecircular economy. The Group has also integrated Environmental, Social and, more recently, Climate risks into the management of its portfolio.
The Bank of Africa group is distinguished by numerous achievements, notably thanks to the actions of the BMCE Bank Foundation for Education and the Environment, as well as obtaining ISO certifications for its Environmental and Energy Management System, an unprecedented initiative in the Moroccan banking sector.
