This is what happened, and which was told to us this Sunday by the family themselves. Needless to say, she is completely devastated.
Friday, little Éthan Delise and his brother Florent, aged 4, were at their grandparents’ house in Baillonville. They were not at school because Florent was unwell, both went to their grandpa and grandma’s house, to make it easier.
Around 10 a.m., their grandmother left them in front of the television, they were watching videos. Isabelle, the 56-year-old grandmother, was away for a while to take care of the chickens. Unfortunately, the two kids left the house, while the grandfather, aged 61, was starting his Citroën Belrlingo. He did not see that Ethan was behind the vehicle.
Alerted by the cries of little Florent and her husband, the grandmother arrived and reacted immediately, taking the child herself to the Marche-en-Famenne hospital. Unfortunately, his grandson did not survive.
The family received psychological support organized by the police zone. It will be very useful. The grandfather, in a state of shock, was hospitalized.
