Financial rating agency Bloomfield has assessed the performance and stability of AVENI-Ré, assigning the reinsurance company A- long-term and A2 short-term ratings, both with a stable outlook. This rating reflects the financial strength of AVENI-Ré as well as its growth potential in a competitive market. AVENI-Ré’s expansion strategy, marked by the opening of offices in Dakar in 2021 and in Douala in 2023, combined with an ambitious marketing policy, has enabled the company to strengthen its capacity to generate revenue while by maintaining sustained growth. This dynamic resulted in a 10% increase in turnover.
However, AVENI-Ré remains exposed to exchange rate risks, with only 51% of its activities carried out in the CFA franc zone. However, its efforts in risk management and diversification of investment income have been praised. The loss control measures and effective retrocession programs, implemented since 2022, have also contributed to the improvement of its technical and operational performance.
With a forecast growth of 13% in its turnover for the coming year, AVENI-Ré is establishing itself as a key player in reinsurance and positioning itself to meet the challenges of the sector with confidence and resilience.
