The Women’s Federation For World Peace International (WFWP) yesterday, Saturday December 14 in London, awarded the title of “Ambassador of Peace” to Nezha El Ouafi, former Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and of Moroccans residing abroad, responsible for Moroccans residing abroad.
The former minister took advantage of this platform to highlight the Moroccan example, which she considers as a concrete response to global issues: “Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, embodies the values of tolerance, peace and respect for otherness. These are not simple slogans, but a way of living deeply rooted in Moroccan history and culture.»

She also highlighted the Kingdom’s role as a bridge between civilizations, thanks to its multicultural wealth which combines Arab-Islamic, African, Mediterranean and Judeo-Berber traditions. According to her, Morocco has been able to transform this diversity into a strength which nourishes its development and strengthens its position on the international scene: “These political and strategic choices demonstrate that coexistence is possible, even in a divided world. Morocco proves that it is a model to follow for a more harmonious future.»
Note that the Peace Ambassadors Initiative, launched in 2001 by the Women’s Federation For World Peace International, pays tribute to political figures and civil society actors who contribute to the promotion and strengthening of world peace. The initiative thus gave birth to a vast global network of peace leaders.
