The US government is not being transparent about the mysterious drones that citizens have spotted in the United States, says future US President Donald Trump. He thinks the government should provide more information about these incidents.
“Can this really happen without our government knowing?“wrote Mr. Trump in a message published Friday on the Truth Social network. “I don’t think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shoot them!“
Authorities in New Jersey and recently New York have received reports in recent weeks from residents who say they have seen drones hovering over important infrastructure, such as water tanks, power lines, train stations, police stations and military installations.
According to the White House and the Pentagon, there is no security risk. “It appears that many of the reported sightings are actually of legally used piloted aircraft” White House security adviser John Kirby said during a briefing.
