In Lescar, it is Unsa via its trade and services federation which is in charge. Between two heavy downpours, since midday, a handful of employees have taken turns and informed customers who were rather surprised to see them at a standstill. “It’s true that we are new to this type of action,” confides Dominique Labiste, 30 years in the business and saleswoman in the mountain, ski and climbing department. “We are attached to our company, we grew up with its values, particularly sharing, and we are angry with the shareholders.”

A company that is doing well

“If we are here, it is because there is a problem,” continues the trade unionist. We asked for salary increases of 2%, we no longer have bonuses. They refuse them to us even though the company is doing well. Shareholders received 400,000 euros in June, one million on December 2 and our general director wrote to all employees in to ask them to be frugal! »

“We are in a company that functions well, which has results, but working conditions are deteriorating,” adds another thirty-year-old at Decathlon, Christophe Vidal, from the tennis and golf departments.

Representatives of FO Auchan (including 2,400 jobs threatened in France) came to show their solidarity this Saturday afternoon in front of the Decathlon store. Both are part of the Mulliez galaxy.

“The company lost 1,000 employees in one year. These are resignations and departures which are not replaced, 1,000 looks like a social plan which does not speak its name,” estimates their colleague Jean-François Boudehen, who remembers that there were a good hundred of them in Lescar , and some 75 today. “It’s customer service that is deteriorating,” assures Christophe Vidal.

“The Social and Economic Committee (CES) has launched a right of alert, because there is no parallel drop in activity,” specifies Jean-François Boudehen. It is not impossible that the movement does not stop there.
