(Keystone-ATS) At the opening of his trial, the defendant admitted to sexual abuse of two of the seven children and adolescents sent to Switzerland. He also admitted to producing illegal pornographic material featuring the boys. The accused described these images as “memories” of their visits to his home.

Additionally, he said he recorded video calls “for fun,” in which the boys were naked. The defendant contested the charge of human trafficking because there was no one other than him in the dock and he could not have “traded” with himself.

Among the seven boys sent from Slovakia several times between 2015 and 2022, six were brothers. At the start of the alleged sexual abuse, the youngest were 9 and 11 years old, according to the indictment.
