15% is the absorption rate of new graduates into the job market. Although this rate is low, it is nonetheless worrying. However, it does not reflect the desire of companies to recruit. Rather, it poses the problem of employability. A problem to which Simplon wishes to provide a solution. So Simplon wants to create bridges between businesses and young people looking for opportunities. It is with this logic that the Business Network for Equal Opportunities (Repec) was created. With its experience in integration with a rate of 98%, this training center, focused on digital professions, intends to capitalize on it. Indeed, Simplon Africa and its partners put inclusion at the heart of their commitment to supporting the employability of young people, by equipping them with digital skills in demand on the job market.

According to Ndèye Bitèye, the director of Simplon Senegal, companies are in perpetual search of talents capable of pulling them to the top. “Repec will bring together committed companies, organizations, local authorities and young talents to build synergies around equal opportunities. This initiative is based on a charter of solidarity commitment allowing members to align their actions in favor of the employability and training of young people. Ultimately, according to Ms. Bitèye, it took two years to mature for this project to come to fruition. All this to say that this initiative was close to Simplon’s heart. “It should be noted that this project has been dormant for two years, because we considered it necessary to take the time to mature it. Today, we have succeeded in expanding our network with 200 partners so that this dream of always providing opportunities for young people becomes a reality,” added Ndèye Biteye.

Coming to carry the message from the Minister of Youth, technical advisor Alassane Diallo appreciated the value of the Simplon Senegal project. “Digital professions are taking up more and more space and these are opportunities that obviously appeal to young people. In addition, the Simplon initiative is very beneficial, to the extent that it coincides with the Senegal Vision 2050 agenda in its axis 3,” he declared. The network is mainly made up of traditional partners of Simplon Senegal. However, Repec is not closed. It aims to expand to co-opt members and therefore have more graduates to integrate into the job market.
