Forvia, the seventh global supplier of automotive technologies, is strengthening its industrial competitiveness in Morocco. The group, present in Morocco since 2008 through three sites, inaugurated new infrastructure this Thursday on its production site in Salé Kénitra, thus strengthening its industrial capacities in Morocco to serve its customers on the European and Moroccan markets.
The Forvia factory in Kénitra, which has been producing dashboards and door panels for car interiors since 2019, is today increasing its production capacity dedicated to automotive interiors by nearly 35%, bringing the total surface area to more than 27,000 square meters.
With this expansion, the Kenitra plant will intensify the supply of parts to other Forvia sites and deliver complete systems directly to automobile manufacturers based in Morocco.
The inauguration of this extension comes the day after another, that of the Forvia factory in Salé, specializing in the manufacture of automobile covers. These two new production infrastructures represent an investment by the group of 30 million euros and constitute an asset for employment: over the period 2024-2027, nearly 2,000 new positions should be created. “With a production capacity that will increase local turnover by nearly 45%, these sites confirm Forvia’s place at the heart of the Moroccan automotive ecosystem,” underlines the equipment manufacturer.
